Free or Low-Cost Treatment

While Susan G. Komen® Arizona is not a direct service provider of mammograms or breast cancer treatment, we are committed to providing our community with access to these vital resources.

Breast and Cervical Cancer Treatment Program (BCCTP)
Arizona’s Breast and Cervical Cancer Treatment Program, a state-wide program that provides free breast and cervical cancer treatment to those that qualify, is the first contact for women with no health insurance. The program is operated by the Arizona Department of Health Services through a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

To qualify for the program you must:

  • Be diagnosed as having breast cancer, cervical cancer, or pre-cancerous cervical lesions
  • Be under age 65
  • Provide a verifiable Social Security Number
  • Be a resident of Arizona
  • Be a U.S. Citizen or a non-citizen qualified to receive Medicaid
  • Meet the financial eligibility requirements for the WWHP
  • Be uninsured or have insurance that does not cover the treatment of breast and/or cervical cancer. You may also qualify if you are insured but your insurance excludes cancer treatment as a pre-existing condition, OR
  • You have exhausted the lifetime limit for all benefits under your insurance plan including breast or cervical cancer treatment
  • You must not be eligible for AHCCCS Health Insurance under any other Medicaid group. If you are eligible for AHCCCS Health Insurance under another group, you must be approved under that program.
